rarely asked questions:

Q: Mr. Borders, did you ever have a dog?

A:

Why, yes. His name was Cocoa. A German Shepherd/Collie mix. I barely remember getting him; he just grew up with me until I was 16 and got my first car. Do not ask what happened to him.

A:

ALWAYS rolling over from the top. Of course.

Q:What's your opinion of the string theory?

A:

It's a very good one.

Q: Mr. Borders, do you like being called

    mr. borders?

A:

Not that much. I know it's the respectful way for kids to address adults but I'd be happier if you just called my by my first name.

Q: Mr. Borders, Is that bill or Edgar?

A:

Bill! (Though my full legal name is Edgar William Borders, Jr., thanks to my dad.  Happily, my mom, Betty, started calling me Bill pretty much the second I emerged.)

Q: Bill, how much money do you make per

    hour?

It's hard to say. Depends on how many books are sold but, for now, let's just say it's somewhere real far below minimum wage.

A:

$

Q: where do you get your ideas?

A:

Hey, these are supposed to be "Rarely Asked Questions" that's a FAQ. (The answer is, almost anywhere. But you have to look for them, keep your eyes and mind peeled for them or they'll sneak away.)

Q: is it true you started out at a small ad   agency in hollywood then worked your way

up to owning your own agency and being

named one of the 50 top creative directors

in the world by the prestigious

 "communication arts" magazine?

A:

Well, yes, but I hate to bring it up. Too braggy.

Q: would you ever come out of the woods to

    do library or school visits?

iMac

A:

Yes! And, of course, these days I can also do them FROM the woods thanks to the interwebs.  Virtual visits can be very fun.

Q: Mr. Bor... er, bill, where do you live, are       you married and what's your favorite

   cereal?

A:

Now, that's getting kind of personal. Time to go to my Home page.
